The old Colman House, on the corner of Asbury and Ocean Avenues.
A REALLY old image of the Coleman House. The foundation of the Coleman House was laid in 1876. The Coleman House was the most elegant of the early hotels. The local papers would print lists of hotel arrivals and describe all the balls and cotillions. What the fashionable women were wearing was also a newsworthy item.
