The Mayfair Corner
The Mayfair today. An important example of transparent architecture. In 1987, there was an attempt to build condos on the Mayfair's corner. I had hoped that they would be done in a Spanish-Moorish style reminiscent of the theater. Perhaps they would be called The Mayfair Towers or something. No such luck. They turned out looking like a leisure suit from K-Mart.
Above: This was before the skin was put on them. But just as soon as the condos were completed, a disgruntled employee decided to take the project into his own hands:
