5) The Towns Around Asbury

Deal, Page 2

In my opinion, a present-day exterior photo Deal Casino and Beach Club is not worth the web-page space. From the outside, it is not much more than a very long, low brick wall puncuated by a couple of low, hip-roofed structures (all bordering an enormous asphalt parking lot). This is why I must fall back on history. Here are a couple of images of the old Deal Casino, which existed from 1907 to 1958).

Image 5.1.2. The old Deal Casino was just east of Ocean Avenue and just north of Monmouth Drive.

Image 5.2.2. A view from the top of the Casino, looking west. Ocean Avenue runs north to south, behnd the flag. The Darling residence (see" Deal Houses" Page) is the third house right of center.

Image 5.4.2. Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church. (1905).

Now let's leap over to Wanamassa and the romantic and "mysterious" extremities of Deal Lake. Please click on "Next Page."
